These guidelines and procedures have been developed in order to ensure that things run smoothly and efficiently each and every day in the classroom. The classroom is a shared learning environment and all students (and teachers) should be respectful of the needs and rights of those around them. Please review these and make sure to follow them every day in Miss Shelton's classroom.

Classroom Guidelines & Procedures

Classroom Guidelines:

1. Be respectful.

  • Respect yourself.

  • Respect your classmates.

  • Respect school property.

  • Respect your teacher.

  • Respect thoughts and opinions that are different from your own.

2. Be cooperative.

  • Cooperate with your classmates.

  • Cooperate with your teacher.

  • Set aside any differences with your classmates.

  • At times, you may be required to work cooperatively with people you don't particulary like. This is part of life. Navigate these situations with maturity and tact.

3. Be engaged.

  • Refrain from participating in activities that are disruptive to the learning process, both for yourself and for your classmates.

  • Share your thoughts, opinions, and ideas during class discussions so that your classmates may learn from your contributions. Everyone has something worthwhile to contribute.

  • Respect your classmates' right to learn in an engaging, cooperative, and dynamic classroom environment. Disrupting class, bullying, distracting others, arguing, name-calling, and being disrespectful are behaviors that will not be tolerated.

Procedures:
